- A set of moral principles or values of an idealistic quality dealing with good and bad and with moral duty and obligations
- A code of conduct or behavior expressed in a formal system or code governing an individual or a particular group (e.g., profession or business)

- Conforming to a standard of what is right and good -- especially, involving the more difficult or subtle questions of rightness, fairness, or equality
